Anne Perier

As a visual artist, I gather materials, stories, and know-how from the different worlds and environments I move through. Inquiry, experimentation, and learning are always part of my creative process; these moments of exploring knowledge and craft nourish my practice. I draw on fields such as botany, agriculture, craft traditions, and geography, calling on different forms of knowledge and inventiveness to transform the materials, tools, and uses I encounter.

My works take many forms, sometimes unfolding as installations; I make prints, produce images, present photographs and filmed footage, create objects, and more rarely, performances. Through my work, I seek out and create connections between ecology, landscape, and narrative, presenting them as a reservoir of desirable inventiveness and a fertile imaginary.
